Bloom

Troy and I have been doing handfuls of projects to really make this home our own. Last fall we planted 200 iris, tulip and daffodil bulbs in our front yard. Yes, I said 200. We weren't sure if all, or any, of them would make it through the harsh winter, but last week the daffodils and tulips started to bloom. Monday there were about four opened tulip buds and Tuesday there were a couple more. By today, Saturday, there are almost forty yellow, red, purple and orange flowers scattered around our yard. Success! I am keeping my fingers crossed that they will continue to bloom each year.

How fun! I bet it is nice to see the fruits of your labors. It must be great to have a place to make your own.

I'm sorry I didn't call you on your birthday! I hope it was wonderful! By the way, if Troy has any cute friends that are as awesome as he is...send them my way! Cheap Trick?! How awesome is that?!

I knew you, Danielle, would appreciate a good 80's band. No worries about the birthday. I blogged about you on your birthday and still forgot to call! How lame am I?! First we will have to get Troy some friends, then I'll start sending them your way. :)
