Wall Lake

Troy and I have decided to mark our wedding anniversary every year with a backpacking trip. So instead of the sweltering heat like last year in Grand Gulch, we headed high into the Uintahs. High enough to trek through snow even on one of the last weekends of June. But, regardless of the comical situations we find ourselves in, we always have an amazing time. Here are some pics from the celebration of our second year of marriage.

Finding a campsite near the frozen lake

I love this picture. Troy drying his shoes and socks after we marched through knee-deep snow.

Enjoying the quiet. The good thing about taking a backpacking trip in the snow is you really don't run into a lot of other folks. :)

Mmm... freeze-dried Mac and Cheese is good!

Phoenix, AZ

Nothing gets you into the full swing of summer like spending a week in Phoenix. Though the temperatures were well into the triple digits, we had a blast hanging by the pool with Cameron, Tammy and kids and catching up with Matt and Monica who, coincidentally, had a conference scheduled in Phoenix the same week. I realized after 5 days in the sunny city, I hadn't even pulled my camera from it's case so thanks to Monica for snapping a few photos of us before we left.

Second Year

I'd just like to say a quick thank you to my dear husband and best friend, Troy, for an absolutely wonderful two years of marriage. I honestly don't know where the time has gone, but I look forward to many more days, months and years with my sweetie.
