Troy and I spent 5 days last week in southern California. After spending four months in the snow, we were excited to pull the swimsuits out of the back of the closet and bask in the sunshine. Unfortunately the bad weather followed us. As soon as we arrived, the temperature dropped to 50 degrees and it downpoured the entire time. Though cold, we still had an amazing time.

At Splash Mountain
Of course the rain caught up with us after a few hours of sunshine. We were determined to stay from open until close, so we grabbed a poncho and sipped our hot chocolate under the only shelter we could find - the carousel.
On our third trip through Splash Mountain. The plus side of heavy rain is there are absolutely no lines for any rides. Woohoo!

We sure did, but now we are really looking forward to Hawaii. This was like a teaser beach vacation.
I am so glad you were able to wear sunglasses at least once. It is still cold here, but no more rain. Sorry the weather did not cooperate!
That looks like fun. I did hear that it was cold, though. Let Troy know that I'm still thinking of a birthday present for him. I've been going a little nutty with two kids, but I haven't forgotten his birthday. I love how you decorated your house. You two look so happy and cute together. I'm very happy. We all say that we've never seen Troy happier (now that he's with you).
Thanks Tammy! I've heard Troy used to be quite the relationship cynic, which gives me the giggles because I can't even imagine it. We sure are happy and I'm thankful to have such amazing in-laws. I don't know how you even have to time think right now with two young kids! I hope everything is going well.
